Do you think the punishment fit the crime? Is this a criminal act or just kids being kids? Why do you think the school found it necessary to arrest the children involved? What message does it send to the rest of the school and the community? Is that a type of community and school you think would make model citizens? Why or why not?

this is the dumbest thing i have ever heard! those kids should not have gone to jail. maybe the school could make them clean it up and get written up but to take them to jail thats uncalled for. the kids were just being kids, food fights happen all the time.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion eight hours in jail for a food fight is probably taking it over the top. I wouldn't consider this a criminal act because i don't think they were trying intensionally to hurt others. Jail was probably not nessesary. I would imagine the school was not happy one bit, but im sure different people in the community have different opinions about the whole situation. That school wouldn't be the best model citizens after the incident.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this?? arresting kids because of a stupid food fight? I don't know why this school found it necessary to arrest these kids but i think its stupid. i think they did this because they wanted to show the students and the community they were serious but thats not rite. I don't think this would make model citizens because then everyone would be strict.
ReplyDeletei do not think that the punishment fit the crime because this is not a crime. i believe this is just kids being kids because there are so many schools that have had food fights including ours and we havnt had this bad of a punishent. I believe that they should of got in trouble such as getting suspended but thats it. i think the school took it to far by having them sit in jail for 8 hours. I think the school found it necessary to arrest the children involved because they wanted to have them punished but they shouldnt of had to put them in jail. This sends a good message to the school and community that having a food fight is a serious matter and they dont take it lightly. I think that this school does make a good model citizen for giving them punishment but not giving them as much punishment they gave them.
ReplyDeletei do think that the punishment is suitable for what they did. it was a criminal act because throwing an apple was assult with a deadly weapon.the school thought it was neccesary because it was neccesary. the message that it sent was when you're in school you dont miss behave yourself. yes it would make model citizens because those kids will probably never missbehave in there lives again.
ReplyDeleteI think that kids should know better, but i also think that they dont deserve to be put in jail for eight days. They are just kids being kids, and even if they would know better then to throw food since when do kids listen? They deserve some punishment but eight days in jail is a little bit over the top.
ReplyDeletei think that this is ridiculus they are treating kids from 11 to 15 like adults, they are acting like they just commited a feleny.
ReplyDeleteNo I think that the punishment was to harsh for the kids. I would say they were being kids. To show the kids what would happen to them and to scaer them. that youshould not do food fights. No because they were just kid they were way young then me. I think it was mean to put the kids in jail.
