Why is it important to remember those in the “forgotten war”? Do you know anyone who has served in this war? Why is it important to recognize them now, when it occurred so long ago? Is it important to honor veterans of major wars or conflicts, or anyone who has served this country? If you served our country would you want a ceremony thanking you, or is the pride you feel from serving good enough?

I think it is important to remember those in the "forgotten war" because they served for our country at one time and worked very hard and risked their lives to keep us safe. They deserve respect and attention as well as the ones serving in the war now. I do indeed know someone that served in a forgotten war. That person loves getting compliments and thank you's for serving for out country at one time. If I served for my country in a forgotten war I would love to have a memorial for serving in the war.
ReplyDeleteIt is important to remember those who were in any kind of war because they put theyre life on the line for our freedom. I do not know anyone who was in this war. It's still important to recognize them because they helped, no mteer how long ago it was. If i served in a war i would want a ceromony because it make me feel good about what i was doing.
ReplyDeleteI think it is important recognize because they're fighting for our freedom and they deserve all of the recognition as possible. It’s important to remember the ones that were "forgotten" because we should honor all of the people who died over seas and veterans. My cousin's husband is serving in the war. If I was serving in the army I would want a ceremony because it would make me feel good about what I’m doing.
ReplyDeletei feel that we should hornor thoses who served us. they gave up their life, families, houses to protect ours. i am very thankful for them, and what they do. i could never do what they do, i couldnt leave my life and my family. it would be the hardest thing, but if i did i wouldnt want a ceremony, i dont want to put all the attention on myself.
ReplyDeleteIt is very good to remember all who have fought for our freedom and stod strong so that we could live the way we do.I do not no anybody from that war but i still respect those in any war. I think its sad that it took 57 years ro recognise their greatness.
